Hello World! 【 你好，世界！】

Hello all! I'm Peter.  For the last ten years, I've been learning Mandarin Chinese.  More recently, I've started a Masters program for an MS in Data Science.  Part of my program involves coding (R and Python mostly).  I'm interested in exploring what intersections exist between (human) language usage and coding.  I'm sure I'll touch on natural language processing (NLP), human language technology (HLT), machine learning (ML), and other emerging fields (as I learn about them).

大家好！我叫麦德。十年多之前，我开始学习中文。这年初，我刚上了大学， 开始读关于数据科学的硕士课程。我的课程包括程序设计（大多数是R和Python的程序设计语言）。我对外语翻译和程序设计很感兴趣，特别是我们怎么可以利用电脑帮助翻译中文。这个博客内，我要把自然语言处理（NLP），人类语言技术（HLT，像NLP和计算语言学、语音处理、什么的），机器学习（ML），还有别的新型的专科的内容都自学、了解、写明。
